Tsum Valley trek

Tsum Valley Trek is 14-day mountain journeys from subtropical into the treeless alpine zone in Manaslu region. The hiking begins after 8-hour bus tour (Kathmandu-Arughat) via Dhading Besi. A trail along the Budi Gandaki River Valley with a hot spring, waterfall, and spectacular mountain views are fascinating.  It called hidden valley opened in 2008 as a restricted area managed by the Manaslu Conservation Area Project. Traditionally, the valley was a culturally distinct geographical area called ‘Tsum Tso Chuksum’, which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory. Tsum comes from the Tibetan word Tsombo translates vividly that obtained the valley name. The remote area in Gorkha district is unique with a dialect, culture, quiet and fresh air. There are sacred mani walls, chortens, and kaanis, which protect the people and settlements from the bad and evil spirits. Read more............
